About Kids For Wish Kids

Kids For Wish Kids is all about empowering children to make a difference in the lives of other kids. Through different activities to raise funds, kids can learn about how they can make a wish kid’s wish come true.

As part of the 2018 launch of Kids For Wish Kids, the Signature programme was designed and launched. In this Signature programme, groups of children have the opportunity to attend a workshop, along with Wish Kids, to explore wishes we can each have and the power of a wish. After which, kids will have the opportunity to work with one of our corporate partners to raise funds to help a Wish Kid fulfill his or her wish. To wrap up the project, kids donate their fundraised amount to Make-A-Wish and receive a certificate of thanks for making a wish come true.

Who?
Children of all ages are invited to take part in the Kids For Wish Kids project as we believe that anyone of any age can make a difference. Depending on the age of children involved, level of adult supervision will differ. Kids are invited to engage in fundraising activities to grant wishes to wish kids. For the Signature programme, kids above 8 years of age are eligible to participate.
What?
Kids can use their creativity to decide how they would like to help Wish Kids. From doing small-scale projects like bake sales and birthday party donations to school-wide projects such as walkathons, charity shows and Dress Blue Days, projects of any scale are appreciated and welcomed. Kids can raise money for a specific Wish Kid with a specific donation amount or make a general donation to the Kids For Wish Kids project. A more hands-on way of engagement is the Signature programme where kids are invited to take part in a ‘I Can Make A Wish’ workshop along with Wish Kids to learn more about making a wish. Then kids take part in a fundraising activity at one of our corporate partner’s companies to raise funds to donate to a Wish Kid. Where?
Kids For Wish Kids projects can take place anywhere! We invite schools, learning centres, community groups and private groups to take part in projects that will make wishes come true. For the Signature programme, kids take part in the ‘I Can Make A Wish’ workshop at a specified location and then complete their fundraising activity at our corporate partner’s company location. When?
Anytime! The options for when to hold a Kids For Wish Kids fundraiser are open and based on your schedule. Often the “when” is answered by the “what.” Start by determining the right fundraising event and then determine when it is best held. The Signature programme will take place at designated times of the year so please contact us for more information.
Why?
Because kids can make a difference! Empower kids to learn about others, step in the situation of others, grow in empathy and to use their time and abilities to make a difference in the life of a Wish Kid.
