“I want to own a piano”

– Jennie, Wish Child of 2013

Over a decade ago, Jennie was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia after experiencing a persistent high fever. Despite being so young, she had to endure the tough journey of hospitalization and treatment, including regular bone marrow tests , anesthesia injections, and the side effects of medication . Although the journey was physically and emotionally challenging, Jennie saw it as a challenge as a test.

At that time, the wish team granted Jennie’s wish to have a piano. This piano held great significance for her, it reignited her passion for music. It also became a comforting companion during her treatment journey and helped Jennie pass the Grade 8 exam successfully.

Now a university student, Jennie still remembers the joy of her wish being granted. She continues to create music on the same piano and has become a Make-A-Wish volunteer with a grateful heart. Through her own experience, she hopes to inspire more children facing illness and their families, spreading the power of hope and courage.
