Our Wish Team will pay visit at every Thursday and Friday afternoon to child patients and their families in the hospital, to share the power of Wish Journey and wish stories, and engage them with fun-filled activities! We encourage every eligible child to apply for a life-changing wish.
Our Wish Planet project, co-organized by Make – A – Wish Hong Kong and HKCH’s Patient Resource Centre and Occupational Therapy, provides workshop integrates horticulture with play and music to child patients. The workshops will inspire children’s creativity and improve their muscle coordination and social confidence. Through the strength of the plant, we hope to empower lives and inspire children to embrace challenges bravely.
The workshop will take place at Specialist Outpatient Clinic on every Thursday morning. It could also reduce children’s anxiety for doctor consultation.
When a plant grows, it creates strength, hope and transformation.
We believe plants and gardening could help to improve mental and physical health of sick children and their families. A greenhouse, located in Central Rehabilitation Garden of Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, is filled with plants that we select and manage with love so as to provide different sensory experiences for everyone. We hope to provide a peaceful environment where everyone could put down the stress of critical illness and simply feel the healing power of plants.
