“I wish to complete my collection of Yellow Bus”

In 1998, 14-year-old Vanessa, diagnosed with osteosarcoma, had a special wish – she wished to complete her collection of children magazine Yellow Bus. “I bought the magazine every time right after it was published, except once.” She missed an issue because of being trapped in the hospital yet she couldn’t find it anymore.

“Luckily, I got more than I wish for”, says Vanessa with smile. The Wish Team and her mother created a little surprise for her – they contacted the cartoonist of the magazine, who was touched by the story of Vanessa and drew a portrait for the girl with the “missing Yellow Bus”. Vanessa was so surprised on her Wish Day when her mother presented the gift to her.

She still remembered how she felt on her Wish Day. “You couldn’t imagine how happy I was.” Is there any words for current Wish Children? “Get rid of sadness and anxiety for a moment, imagine something that you’ve never thought of. What a wish could do may surprise you!
