A Journey of Friendship from Hospital to Australia
For children and parents staying long-term in the hospital, meeting “comrades in arms” who support each other, share their feelings, and face difficult treatments together is an incredibly precious experience. Kenny and San Yui are exactly such comrades who met in the hospital ward and faced their battles side by side.
Despite being 8 years apart in age, they bonded over their shared fight against the same illness. Together, they endured countless tough days in the hospital, supporting each other every step of the way. Over time, their families became each other’s rocks, forming a deep and meaningful friendship.
This summer, the first ever friendship journey at Make-A-Wish took flight. The two friends, who first met in a hospital ward, finally recovered and embarked on a trip to Australia together.
For both Kenny and San Yui, it was their first overseas trip with their families. The journey was filled with breathtaking natural landscapes, adorable animals, and countless heartwarming and unforgettable moments. It was a celebration of their precious brotherhood.
