To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Make-A-Wish Hong Kong, we gathered support from various sectors once again to host the 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner on March 3rd at Regent Hong Kong. Nearly 400 compassionate individuals from the HKSAR Government, business, and medical sectors came together to raise funds for children with critical illnesses and make their life-changing Wishes come true.

With the support from Mr Cheuk Wing-hing, GBS, JP, Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration as Guest of Honor, esteemed guests from different parties, including Dr Lee Tsz-leung, Chief Executive of Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, Prof Chiu Wai-yan, Philip, Dean, Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Dr Kevin Lau, Board Director of Make-A-Wish International, our Honorary Advisors Prof Rosie Young and Ms Linda Choy, Executive Committee Members including Mr Karlson Wong, Mr Ronald Wu, Mr Ernest Leung, Prof Ivan Hung and Associate Professor Pamela Lee, and Sub-committee Members including Associate Professor Sabrina Tsao, Ms Mary Lam and Ms Cynthia Leung, as well as celebrities like Myolie Wu, Eliza Sam, Ayla Sham, Kary Ng, Jason Chan, Sarah Song and Amanda S., were warmly welcomed by Ms Anita Lai, Chairperson of Make-A-Wish Hong Kong and Ms Colleen Yu Fung, Chairperson of Make-A- Wish Hong Kong 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner Committee. The event was an unprecedented success towards the goal of granting more Wishes of children battling critical illnesses.

During the Gala Dinner, Wish Alumni Dr. Gary Ng and Ryan, as well as mothers of Wish Children Tung Tung and Sze Ching, shared their Wish Stories and witnessed the power of Wishes alongside the guests. Bells, Josephine, and Jarvis delivered captivating musical performances that further elevated the atmosphere of the night.

Nine little Wish Ambassadors shared eight heartwarming Wish Stories that touched the audience and inspired generous donations. The live auction that followed successfully sold eight charity auction items. The funds raised through the event will be entirely dedicated to fulfilling the Wishes of children with critical illnesses and supporting our hospital services.
