“I wish to be Iron Man!”

–Yuet-lun, 5, End Stage Renal Failure

“I wish to meet Iron Man! I wish to be Ironman!” Yuet-lun had no idea that his daydream would become reality; what’s more, he IS THE SUPERHERO.

Suffering from End Stage Renal Failure, 5-year-old Yuet-lun is fighting hard against his illness, just like his beloved superhero characters battling the villains. Amongst all superheroes, he loves Iron Man the most because he feels a special bond to him – Yuet-lun has a medical device in his chest just like Iron Man’s Arc Reactor. He told our Wish Captain that he wishes to meet Iron Man’s family, dine with them, and even BE HIM. He daydreams about meeting Iron Man, but he could never imagine transforming into his favorite superhero.

“I would have never imagined that so many generous people would come together and help us, just because of a little child’s wish.”

“You have a special mission on THE DAY.” In order not to spoil the surprise, Yuet-lun was told very little about his Wish Day. Yuet-lun was getting more and more nervous as THE DAY approached. With the generous support of DFS, well-known artiste Louis Koo (aka Agent Koo) presented a magic box to the Little Superhero at T Galleria by DFS. The adventure began as four bodacious thieves took Yuet-lun by surprise and stole the box! Together with Agent Koo and Captain America Dad, Yuet-lun brought all the thieves to justice, retrieved his present, and more importantly, saved the world!

Tears welled up in everyone’s eyes when Yuet-lun accomplished his mission and held the Wish Star up high, “We have never thought that Yuet-lun’s wish will become a reality with the help of so many generous and talented individuals, thank you!” To us, all of YOU are superheroes too!
