I wish to have a helicopter ride

Oliver, 8, Acute Lymphoid Leukemia

Aviation Enthusiast Oliver Finally Rides in a Real Helicopter!

Oliver, who once battled acute lymphoid leukemia, had to undergo chemotherapy at just 4 years old. While other children enjoyed days at the playground with friends, going to school happily, he could only stay in the hospital fighting cancer. Yet, he is glad to have a lot of toy cars and airplanes that accompanied him through this tough journey, leading to his Wish to ride in a real helicopter to experience the feeling of flying up high!

Our dedicated wish granter volunteer created an exquisite boarding pass for Oliver, making him even more excited for his Wish Day! Thanks to the thoughtful arrangements made by The Peninsula Hong Kong and Heliservices, Oliver took a helicopter ride for the first time in his life! Stunned by the breathtaking landscape of Hong Kong, he immediately took out his phone to capture the amazing view as he watched it from a new perspective. For Oliver, an aviation enthusiast, this Wish Day was undoubtedly a memorable experience of a lifetime!

Behind-the-scene: the photographer who documented Oliver’s Wish Day was another Wish Child Chun Hei who was also a cancer survivor.
