Guitar Supported my Mind through the Boring Treatment Time!

“The guitar can help enrich this boring treatment time, giving me confidence to fight against the illness and maintain good mental health.” Tsz Hang shared.

Tsz Hang was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in September last year and had to take a break from school to undergo rounds of chemotherapy. During the treatment period, his greatest entertainment was watching guitar tutorial videos online as he learned to play the ukulele when he was younger, which sparked his interest in this beautiful musical instrument. When he came into contact with the Wish Team, he then made a Wish to have a guitar, hoping to cultivate his interest in music and make good use of the time during his treatment and recovery period.

Tsz Hang’s passion for music deeply touched the Wish Team. Therefore, besides choosing him a guitar and other accessories, we also collaborated with Parkland Music Limited to arrange private tutorial classes at his home, teaching him how to play his favourite song, Jay Chou’s “Sunny Day”. With the considerate arrangement offered by Parkland Music, Tsz Hang can comfortably learn a new hobby without anything to worry about, even his body is still vulnerable due to the treatment he is receiving. We hope this guitar can bring mental support to Tsz Hang’s heart and back him up through this difficult time with the healing power of music.
