I wish to go to Taipei
Tsz Shun, 14 , Multiple Congenital Anomaly
Experiencing Rain during a Trip Isn’t Always a Bad Thing!
Since birth, Tsz Shun has been suffering from congenital deformities, limiting his mobility and affecting his language abilities. He can only express himself through facial expressions. Despite these challenges, his desire for exploring the world with his family has never waned. After discussing with the family about the feasibility of a family trip and their actual needs of taking care of Tsz Shun when traveling abroad, the Wish Team arranged a trip to Taipei for Tsz Shun and his family last winter.
They received attentive care from the local tour guide and visited various places during their trip. Although the weather didn’t cooperate as expected, the reduced crowd at the night market due to the rain allowed Tsz Shun to get inside of the market and experience this unique culture of Taiwan. Tsz Shun and his parents also had the chance to release sky lanterns and make wishes, praying for blessings for the family.
The family trip helped Tsz Shun and his family to release the stress of illness and daily care responsibilities. The enjoyment that they had throughout the journey filled their hearts with hope even in the face of numerous challenges ahead.
